In this February 4 variation of Retrospective Adver Replay, we're taking a trip back 21 old age to when The Sims kickoff launched on PC. That's February 4, 2000. Developed by Maxis and publicized by EA, the SimCity developer took the city direction formula and practical information technology to a one household. The game was an immediate hit and led to many sequels, spin-offs, and DLC packs.

The premise is so simple it's brilliant. The Sims lets you create a virtual neighborhood occupied with virtual masses, living practical lives with essential needs and desires. You project a house, create a Sim, and so try to steer your little buddy through the daily grind.

The Sims is a rightfully addictive and unique experience, the considerate of game that keeps you glued to the monitor for literally hours on end.
